I am part of the knowledge exchange team at Oxford Brookes University where I provide a link for businesses and individuals who are interested in the research, consultancy, facilities and professional development and training in the fields of Health and Life Sciences, humanities and social sciences. I'm interested in meeting with anyone who is currently carrying out or who is looking to find out more about the university’s consultancy offer in biomedical sciences, environmental sciences,, nursing and allied health sciences e.g. physiotherapy and occupational therapy, psychology. Past consultancy projects have included healthcare CPD, Digital Health Technologies and data analysis, and environmental habitat survey technology and energy management.
Commercial & Knowledge Exchange Director
David has been Commercial & Knowledge Exchange Director at Oxford Brookes University since May 2010. He leads the Enterprise & Business Development Team within the Research & Business Development Office where he looks after a diverse range of programmes and functions, including the HEIF investment programme for knowledge exchange, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs), entrepreneurship and social enterprise, IP management and commercialisation, and supporting Faculties in their income diversification initiatives. He also represents the university externally for joint working with Oxfordshire businesses, research institutions and other stakeholders to enhance economic growth and innovation in the region.
Prior to joining Brookes, David had a varied career at senior level in business development and marketing, in sectors including research services and business support services.
Associate KTP Manager
Anna is the Associate KTP Manager at Oxford Brookes University. Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) is a national initiative designed to help businesses grow by accessing knowledge and expertise in UK universities, and Anna is interested in meeting with anyone who is keen to find out more about the programme, and how working with Oxford Brookes could support their business. The University’s past KTP projects have included reducing production time and costs for a novel electric motor; redesigning the structure and functions of a professional services firm; and developing 'augmented reality' technology for Sony computer games.
