Useful Information

Breakfast Session

The breakfast session will take place in the Cherwell Room. If you would like to attendee the breakfast session, please arrive at the venue for 07:30. Seats will be available on a first come, first served basis. A light breakfast will be available from 07:30 and the session will start at 07:45 prompt. Entrance to the closing plenary and drinks reception is also included within the main event ticket price. Please follow signs on arrival at the King’s Centre.

Cash Machines

The closest cash machine is at Oxford train station.

Cloakroom

There is no formal cloakroom at the King’s Centre. However if you have a coat you would like to store then this can be hung on the racks in the Atrium.

Closing Plenary and Drinks Reception

Brexit: One Year On from 17:15 to 18:00 in the Thames Hall, followed by drinks reception (finishing at 19:00). Entrance to the closing plenary and drinks reception is included within the main event ticket price.

Exhibition

The exhibition is located in the Cotswold Hall. A full list of exhibiting companies is available here. The exhibition is open from 09:00 to 17:00.

Fire Procedure

Please make yourself aware of our fire evacuation procedure. Copies are available from the Help Desk and in all session rooms. Our assembly point is at the car park by the Cotswold Hall main large exit doors.

First Aid

Please go to the Help Desk in the Atrium where a member of staff will contact a first aider.

Innovation Showcase

The innovation showcase is located in the Cotswold Hall foyer. A full list of showcase companies is available here. The showcase is open from 09:00 to 17:00.

Lunch & Refreshments

Tea and coffee available in the Cotswold Hall from 08:00 to 17:00, accompanied by homemade cookies mid morning and a grab and go lunch between 12:00 and 14:00. If you have dietary requirements please make us aware during the registration process.

Networking Area

This year we have a dedicated area for networking, which hosts the ‘Get Connected’ networking meetings, alongside the Exhibition, Innovation Showcase and food and drink in the Cotswold Hall. The Networking Area is sponsored by Hedges Law LLP.

Security

Please do not leave any bags or personal belongings unattended. Please note that there is no formal cloakroom.

Sessions

As part of the registration process, you can select which sessions you would like to attend. This is not a booking, but allows you to build your preferred itinerary. Seating in sessions is available on a first come, first served basis.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the building. If you do wish to smoke, please go outside the Atrium, and use the designated smoking area.

Transport

A free shuttle bus, generously provided by the Oxford Bus Company, will operate from Seacourt Park & Ride and Oxford Train Station to the King’s Centre and back throughout the day. The shuttle buses will operate regularly from 07:30 to 19:00. Download the timetable here.

Please note that when parking at Seacourt Park and Ride you will need to purchase a car parking ticket, costing £2 for the day. You can pay in cash or by RingGo on your mobile. Please see the Oxfordshire County Council website for more details.

If you live in Oxford and prefer to walk, the King’s Centre can be accessed via the Thames towpath from Folly Bridge or Osney Island. The walk is approx. 12 minutes from the train station. View a map of the walking route here.

The King’s Centre also provides undercover and secure bicycle racks for attendees. If you cycle or would like to bring your bike on the train, the King’s Centre is next to the Thames towpath, which is suitable for bicycles. Or hire a bike from Brompton Bike Hire dock at the train station for just £2.50 for 24hrs.

The closest train station is Oxford, located on Park End Street. Oxford has mainline links to London Paddington and Marylebone, as well as Birmingham and Manchester. The King’s Centre is located a 12 minute walk from the train station.

The King’s Centre, Osney Mead, Oxford, OX2 0ES.

There is very limited parking at the venue, which will be available on a first come first served basis. Delegates are advised to use the free shuttle bus service and public transport, rather than drive.

Access for delegates is from 07:30 for breakfast session attendees, and from 08:00 for all other attendees.

Wifi

Delegates registered for the event may use the conference wireless network to access the internet.
